The DNA of a Fairy. Part II

In the previous and first blog post,I had to split my story in two as I got carried away in thoughts and memories a bit to much ! Here is the second part and It wont be as long as the other...possibly!


Back to my story...somethings else happened before realizing that actually the only and right thing to do was to start FairyPan and just go with it!


Having worked for years on developing recipes for others,  I ended up having a selection of them. Troubled on the thought that I had just wasted time, a thought (and solution) popped in my mind and as a consequence, FairyPan was born!


It was the right time... I could feel it myself, I could feel it in the air, I could see it Yannis eyes and in the watered mouths of our friends! 


The 21/10/2015 FairyPan was officially born and we started putting all our energies on it... Logo, website, public liability and bespoke boxes (that will soon arrive). We also had a 5 star hygiene rating from Hackney Council!


We split tasks: - I am the baker, the new product developer, the managing director and the face of the company - Yannis is an engineer during the day and financial bitch, IT, photographer, driver and general errand boy in the evening... He also does quality control 😅


After few months trying to understand how to work together and luckily before killing each other, we manage to find a fair balance and we are actually now having fun!



So far we have a stall at the Sunday UpMarket in Brick Lane and we are currently looking to expand our market presence...we'll be starting at the Backyard Market in Brick Lane this Saturday!


Our online shop is up and running and we started a collaboration with Homebaked London, which is a web platform that connects foodie with bakers...They are creating a really fantastic foodie community and we are really proud to be part of it! We had a fantastic event for their soft launch last Saturday, lots of amazing bakers with their delicious products, flower decorations from Bloominghous and vintage crockery from Suzannes Vintage Tea! It's been a great evening, we almost sold out, we received lots of compliments and we already received a first order through their website!


Ah there was also a Bake Off battle and we won the second prize with our summer naked cake: white chocolate and raspberry sponge with thyme and strawberry buttercream elegantly decorated with lots of berries! New and fresh combination that soon you'll be able to order through our website!




We are also receiving private orders for birthdays and weddings, we are all buzzing around and It's all extremely exiting!!!


Also I think this is the right time to say THANK YOU, to our families and our precious friends which have been extremely supportive and they are constantly feeding us with positive energy and thoughts (as much as we are feeding them back with cupcakes!). They are all part of our Quality Control Team and Fairy helpers at the market stalls whenever we need!


I know I've been a bit late with this second post but for a good reason...we are getting busier and busier!

Lots of things are happening here but I'll try to keep you all posted as much as I can!
